Centering Prayer Group

This interfaith Centering Prayer Group meets in our Parish Hall and on Zoom the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month per the schedule below. No meetings are scheduled during June, July or August. Time together typically consists of one twenty-minute silent prayer period (Centering Prayer), followed by faith sharing on a selected topic from a book, video, or other spiritual resource.

Our group studies come from a Christian perspective, and anyone is welcome to attend, including beginners and those acquainted with other meditative practices.

The morning agenda follows this schedule:

9:15 Fellowship
9:30 Centering Prayer
10:00 Faith Sharing
11:00 Closing

Contemplative Prayer is the world in which God can do anything. To move into that realm is the greatest adventure. It is to be open to the Infinite and hence to infinite possibilities. Our private, self-made worlds come to an end; a new world appears within and around us and the impossible becomes an everyday experience.
